When children don’t sleep they and their loved ones suffer. Sleep disorders are under-recognized. They are linked to development, learning, and mental health disruptions. We are eager to share with you some of our learnings of the past six years; disorders we see, tools to identify the issues, and steps to take to support kids and their families. We will share our novel approach in Kamloops which was inspired by our community partners and hope that some ideas may be helpful in your own practices.
Allyson Davey is a Metis pediatrician. As the physician lead of the TRU pediatric sleep clinic in Kamloops, she supports kids and families to optimize sleep, development, and mental wellness.
Diane Walker is a nurse, Lactation Consultant, and Infant Development Specialist. She is co-director of the TRU Pediatric Sleep Clinic in Kamloops and supports families with sleep challenges.
